About This Resource

A ready-to-play bingo game for reviewing all ten Wild Animals vocabulary
words as a class. Includes six unique 3x3 bingo boards (each with a
decorative FREE space) and ten calling cards for the teacher to draw and
read aloud. A fun, low-prep way to close out the unit with active listening
and vocabulary recall.

Grade 1 35-45 Minutes Vocabulary Reading

How to Play

  • 1. Give each student a bingo board and counters (buttons, beans, or scrap paper).
  • 2. Shuffle the calling cards; draw one and say the animal's name aloud.
  • 3. Students cover the matching picture on their board.
  • 4. The first student to cover 3 in a row (across, down, or diagonal) calls "Bingo!"

Teacher Tips

Print boards on cardstock and laminate for repeated use across classes. No
separate answer key is needed — the calling cards serve as the game reference.

  • Students will be able to:
  • - Listen for and identify wild animal vocabulary words by ear
  • - Match a spoken word to its picture under time pressure (game format)
  • - Practice turn-taking and following game rules in English
