Grade 4 Daily Activities Worksheet

About This Resource

A one-page worksheet practicing 6 daily activities through photo identification and riddles, plus a sequencing exercise using "First, Then, After that, Finally" to order a character's evening routine, and a draw-and-label bonus.

Overview

This worksheet introduces sequencing connectors (First, Then, After that, Finally) on top of the vocabulary from the Vocabulary PowerPoint — a genuinely new grammar/discourse skill for the topic, not a repeat of the Morning Routine Worksheet's "-s" focus. Part C gives students four activities out of order and asks them to sequence them logically (dinner before bath, bath before reading, reading before bed) while producing full third-person sentences, combining sequencing language with the Present Simple agreement already introduced.

Student Task

  • Use after the Morning Routine Worksheet, once the "-s" rule is established. Part C's sequencing task works well done aloud as a class first (physically reordering four cards or sentence strips) before students write the connector sentences independently.

Classroom Use

  • Give small groups a shuffled set of the 6 Daily Activities photos (or word cards) and have them build their own 4-step evening sequence using the same four connectors, then present it to another group.

Differentiation

SUPPORT: Provide the four connector words already placed in order (First/Then/After that/Finally) so students only need to supply the activity, not sequence the connectors themselves.
ON-LEVEL: Completes Part C fully independently, supplying both the correct order and the connector words.
CHALLENGE: Extend Part C to a 6-step sequence including two morning routine actions from the previous worksheet, requiring a 5th and 6th connector (e.g., "Before that," "Next").

Answer Key & Assessment

Score Part A and B out of 12 (6 photo IDs + 6 riddles). Score Part C out of 4 (one point per correctly sequenced, grammatically correct sentence). Assess the Bonus qualitatively using the Grade 4 Daily Routines Unit Grading Rubric (once available).

Learning Objectives

  • Students will be able to identify and name 6 daily activities from real photographs.
  • Students will be able to sequence a set of routine actions logically using First, Then, After that, and Finally.
  • Students will be able to produce correct third-person Present Simple sentences within a sequencing context.

Teacher Tips

Part C's logical order (dinner → bath → book → bed) is deliberately the ONLY order that makes real-world sense given the four activities — there's no ambiguity to debate, which keeps the exercise focused on the connector language and sentence construction rather than on justifying an arbitrary sequence choice.
