Grade 2 40-50 Minutes My Home Lesson Plan

Learning Objectives

Students will be able to name and use all 6 room words and 6 furniture words correctly.
Students will be able to use "in," "on," "under," and "next to" to describe where something is.
Students will be able to read a short connected passage using the topic vocabulary and answer comprehension questions about it.
Students will be able to score at least 16/20 on the cumulative Review Quiz.

Lesson Procedure

Read through once before starting the unit to see the full arc, then use the Lesson Sequence table as your daily plan and the Print & Prep checklist the day before you start teaching. Keep a printed copy handy during the unit — the Common Trouble Spots table is worth reviewing right before Day 3 (Furniture) and Day 4 (Prepositions), since that's where the two trickiest distinctions come up.

Assessment
