Kindergarten ESL Flashcards: Greetings and Introductions — 12 Picture Cards + Memory Match

How to Present

• Print the A5 cards (2 per A4 page) on card and cut on the dotted line. Use them to present the language, for quick drills and for games. Print the mini cards on card for Memory Match in pairs or small groups.

Games & Speaking Activities

• Sun, Sun, Moon: flash cards 3–5 fast; children say the greeting and do the action.
• Memory Match: children turn over one picture and one word card and say the words; if they match, they keep them.

Differentiation

Support: Use an action with every phrase, every time. Accept one-word answers first ("Mina.", "Happy.") and then model the full sentence for the child to repeat. Give each child a name card to copy. Pair a shy child with a confident buddy for the role play. Write the tracing words in yellow highlighter for children who need more help.
Extension: Teach "Good evening!" and "See you tomorrow!". Ask "How old are you?" – "I'm five." Let confident children lead the Hello Chant or play the teacher in Name Ball. Ask them to introduce a friend: "This is Ben."

Assessment

Hold up a card and ask one child "What do you say?" — a quick one-to-one check for the speaking rubric.
