About This Resource

A complete Grade 3 ESL lesson pack on the future with will: predictions (It will rain tomorrow), promises and offers (I will help you), will and won't, questions with Will you …?, short answers, time words such as tomorrow and next week, and a future diary writing task. Includes a lesson plan, worksheet, quiz, homework, A5 flashcards, a rubric, detailed slides with speaker notes, Word files and answer keys.

Overview

Students learn to talk about the future with will. They make predictions about the weather and their lives, make promises and offers, use won't for the negative, ask Will you …? questions and give short answers (Yes, I will. / No, I won't.). They use future time words, read a short text in which a girl predicts what life will be like in 20 years, choose will or won't in sentences and write their own predictions and promises.
