A free Grade 3 lesson and worksheet on division facts within 100: sharing equally, making equal groups, using multiplication facts to divide, fact families and division word problems. Includes a timed lesson plan, worksheet, editable Word version and answer key.

Overview

Children learn that division means sharing equally or making equal groups. They use counters to share 12 cookies among 3 friends, connect each division fact to a multiplication fact they know (if 4 × 6 = 24, then 24 ÷ 6 = 4), write fact families, practise division facts with divisors from 2 to 10 and solve real-life sharing problems.
