Classroom Objects — Unit Quiz / Assessment
About This Resource
A five-part, 14-item cumulative quiz covering vocabulary writing, word recognition, the a/an article, true/false comprehension, and on/in prepositions, with a full answer key and a built-in score box.
Overview
This quiz is the unit's summative assessment, drawing together every skill practiced across the collection: writing target words, recognizing words from pictures, choosing a or an correctly, judging true/false statements about classroom objects, and completing location sentences with on or in. A "Score: ___ / 14" box at the top makes it easy for teachers to record results at a glance.

Question Types & Suggested Use
This resource is itself the unit's summative assessment; use the 14-point score to gauge overall unit mastery and identify students who may need additional support before moving to a new topic.
Skills Assessed
- Students will demonstrate mastery of the unit's ten classroom object words, the a/an article rule, and the on/in preposition pattern for describing an object's location.
How to Administer
- Administer after completing Resources 1-8, typically as the final activity of the unit.
- Read the instructions for each part aloud before students begin that section.
- Allow students to work independently.
- Grade using the included answer key and record the score in the score box.
Differentiation
Support: read each quiz item aloud individually, or reduce Part 1's word-writing items to circling instead of writing.
Extension: have early finishers write one additional sentence using "Where is the ___? It is on/in the ___." about an object not covered in the quiz.
Teacher Tips
Read each part's instructions aloud one section at a time rather than all at once at the start — at this age, students retain multi-step directions much better when they're given right before that section begins.
